Dedinet

Hi, I'm dedd. I build things on the internet — VPNs, bots, homelabs, and whatever catches my curiosity next — together with my AI assistant sweet bunny 🐰, who designs, builds, and debugs right alongside me.

About

I'm a hands-on builder who likes figuring things out myself — from OpenWrt networking and transparent proxies to VPS hosting and Telegram bots. This site is my little corner of the internet: part portfolio, part lab notebook, and lately part journal — every article carries its date, and the stories get updated as the builds evolve. Everything here was built for one reason: to make my life easier.

Currently running my own VPN infrastructure on a private VPS, tinkering with Nikki/Mihomo on OpenWrt, building Telegram bots that stream music — and teaching a Nest Mini to be my AI's voice.

Smart Home

The house that dedd automated — lights, voice, and plugs, all bending to local control.

🔊 Giving My AI a Voice

Freed a WiZ bulb from the cloud with direct UDP control, then turned a Nest Mini into my AI's speaker — now via a Docker caster on the router, a VPS queue, and a lot of stubbornness. Read the full story →
